El pasado 18 de junio la revista masculina GQ Spain celebró un exclusivo afterwork en la boutique Montblanc de Paseo de Gracia 99 de Barcelona para presentar la nueva colección de relojes de la marca alemana. Mostraron las novedades que recién habían lanzado y después deleitaron la velada con una charla explicando la historia relojera de la firma.
En esta colección pude ver diseños bastante modernos y con líneas deportivas dejando atrás esa sobriedad que caracterizaba a la marca. Además la tecnología también hacia acto de presencia, principalmente en la colección Timewalker, en el que presentaron la pulsera e-strap. Se trata de una correa intercambiable con una pantalla táctil OLED de 0,9 pulgadas en la que puedes consultar las notificaciones de tu smartphone, controlar la música o activar la cámara. Con esto hace que desde enero, Montblanc sea la primera marca de lujo en la Alta Relojería que combina tecnología con maestría.

On June 18, the men’s magazine GQ Spain held an exclusive afterwork event in the Montblanc boutique, at 99 Paseo de Gracia, Barcelona, in order to present the German brand’s new collection of watches. They had their new, recently launched products on show, and they later delighted those attending the evening party with a talk explaining the company’s watchmaking history.
I was able to see designs in the collection that were quite modern and with sport lines that leave behind the brand’s characteristic sobriety. Technology also made an appearance, mainly in the Timewalker collection, as they unveiled the e-Strap bracelet. It is an interchangeable strap with a 0.9-inch OLED touchscreen that you can use to view your smartphone notifications, control your music or activate the camera. This means that, since January, Montblanc has been the first luxury brand in fine watchmaking to combine technology with masterful skill.
